My Favorite Book Quotes

I mentioned Quotes in a previous entry before (Click here for the Link) and so the idea popped up in my head to do a whole post about my favorite book quotes!

#1 My Favorite Quotes: Harry Potter

I love JK Rowling’s writing and to be honest, everyone loves Harry Potter quotes, so here are my favorite from HP:

After all this time? Always.

I am in love with Snape’s story and therefore I always get emotional reading this quote. Or watching the movies. Or in general.

Do not pity the dead, Harry. Pity the living.

I just love this saying of Dumbledore because let’s be honest: it’s so true. If we lose someone, not that person will grieve, but we will.

Now if you two don’t mind, I’m going to bed before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed – or worse, expelled.

I just love Hermione. Partly because, obviously she’s the smartest and partly because I’m a huge nerd and kind of have moments like those.

#2 Favorite Quotes: The Penderwicks

I adore Jeanne Birdsall’s The Penderwicks and therefore I also enjoy her humor.

The referee told me this league has never had a brawl of that magnitude,” said Mr. Penderwick after a long, painful silence. “Of course, at the time I was pretending to be a casual passerby and not a father at all.

This is my favorite moment in all of the books. I just love this so very dearly I could eat it up like cookie dough.

Even a tiny bit of deceit is dishonorable when it’s used for selfish or cowardly reasons.

True, just so true.

Don’t kill her now, just when we’ve gone to all that trouble to rescue her.

Jeffrey is just the BEST.

#3 Favorite Quotes: Red Queen

I read the fist book of Victoria Aveyard’s series almost two years ago and I am obsessed with her writing. Almost every sentence of her has so much power and quotes potential, I had difficulties deciding.

I could set fire to the world and call it rain.

Red Queen is a series of power and this sentence sums it up pretty good.

We shall rise, red as the dawn.

I don’t know why but this just keeps stuck in my head. From the first time reading this sentence I felt for the Scarlet Guard and this just makes this rebellion so much more real.

#4 Favorite Quotes: Six of Crows

I absolutely fell for Leigh Bardugo’s duology as Six of Crows is just absolutely stunning: the writing, characters and plot is just put together in perfect harmony.

May Djel watch over you until I can once more.

This is by far my favorite quote of all of these at the moment because it is simply so pure and real and makes me emotional just thinking about it. Rest in peace, Matthias.

No mourners. No funerals.

This isn’t a favorite quote of mine but just to honor the Dregs, here you go!

#5 Favorite Quotes: John Green

I am a huge fan of John Green‘s writing and I couldn’t imagine this list without him being on it SOMEWHERE.

No one ever says goodbye unless they want to see you again.

I don’t have a special reason to love this usual sentence, but it was a perfect open but closed end for Turtles all the way down.

Okay? Okay.

Just to appreciate The Fault in Our Stars.

That’s the INcomplete list of my favorite quotes of all time!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.
