Easter Time Book Tag

It’s finally easter and at last, we get some spring like weather. I was able to suntan in the garden (and got sunburned too for that matter) and so it’s the perfect occasion to do this tag! It was created by Theresa @thecalicobooks, so definitely go check out her awesome blog! Here we go!

Easter egg: Name a book that feels like a hidden gem

If We Were Villains by ML Rio surprised me as almost no other book has. Not many people know this book and that’s incredibly sad as the story and the characters and especially its link to Shakespeare and theater makes it unique and special!

Bloom: A debut novel you loved

The Hate U Give completely overwhelmed me! This was such an incredible and inspiring book and that leaves a very promising author! I can’t believe I haven’t read On the Come Up yet, I really really have to get to that one soon!

Chocolate bunny: A book so good you didn’t want it to end

My Lady Jane is the first book coming to my mind here! I dreaded the end so much because I knew it would shatter me emotionally and it did. I read this during a very busy time (school as always) and overtime I finished something, I rewarded myself with a chapter and had to force myself to stop. I really have to reread it under friendlier conditions.

Cheep, cheep: A book you bought for super cheap

I bought a really cheap copy of Wuthering Heights last year at Waterstones. Therefore, it wasn’t the prettiest edition, but it was 2,95$ and I didn’t want to waste 20$ on a pretty cover. I’m glad I didn’t waste any money because it turned out I strongly disliked this book.

Jelly Bean: A book you thought was just so sweet!

Come on, Fangirl was adorable!!!! I loved the story, the whole theme really, and the characters were a blast! Levi was awesome and I could really connect with Cath and her whole growing up and starting to be independent situation. Over all, this was just a really enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to Eleanor & Park!

Church: A book that changed your life

I’m going with a cliché here and say that the first Harry Potter changed my life because it opened me up to so many new books and a whole new genre which I had never really experienced: fantasy. And it really opened the world of books some more for me because I have always been a person who reads a lot, but after Harry Potter the world opened itself to YA and a really lovely community!

Easter basket: A book filled with so many surprises

I think going with Six of Crows is a pretty safe choice because this duology had me on edge the whole time. I have never (or almost never) read a book that had so much going on, so many plans and battles and near-death experiences as this one and that plus the characters and the writing is just everything!

I tag:

Laura Herondale, Sahi, Alysha, Evelyn, Kaylee

I hope you enjoyed this post and HAPPY EASTER!!!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.

  1. Omg yes, Fangirl is just so cute and fluffy, I pretty much had a smile on my face the whole way through 😊
Six of Crows was honestly just one twist after another for two 500+ page books and my heart could barely take it holy shit. I reckon I had AT LEAST 7 heart attacks per book in the duology 😆 But a massive part of he reason why it had me on the edge of my seat the entire time was because I was so connected to the characters and I couldn’t bare the thought of anything happening to my babies 💕😭
And omg thanks for tagging me!! I’ll definitely get to this soon, cuz I’m excited to answer these questions 😊
