Pride and Prejudice – Review

It’s been half a year since I have last posted! The last semester was super stressful and during summer break, I spent most of the time traveling, writing papers and revising. I have, however, read a couple of books (just haven’t had the time to write reviews). But now, after finishing Pride and Prejudice, I feel like I really need to get things off my chest. So here are my thoughts!

Rereading Faust to prepare for my exam – Reflexion

I read Faust during the Christmas holiday and so it’s been a while: we talked about the drama during the whole months of January and February and actually wanted to write our exam straight away, but then corona and lockdown complicated the situation. I’m back in school now and have to take my exam on Tuesday and so I’ve had so spend a little more time with Goethe again – so here are my new and more-structured, well-informed thoughts!

1984 – Review

Wow. I finally finished 1984 and tomorrow, I have to present it in class. That’s very good time management. Anyways, I have a pretty different feeling towards it now than after having read the first thirty pages as well as the minutes after finishing it completely vs. now, having informed myself on why the book was written (politics etc.) So this shall be a very interesting review: here are my thoughts on George Orwell’s 1984!

Let’s Talk Bookish: required reading!

It’s Friday, it’s been a stress free week with a stressful weekend to come, but only great things I have to plan so that’s not too bad! This evening, I’m going to dinner with three of my best friends and I’m super excited! Faust – Review

It’s finally done – I just finished Faust and I am beyond happy to not have died. In the history of every German student to have ever walked the planet, this famous play by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is considered the hardest, weirdest and worst play ever. Merry Christmas everyone! It’s Christmas Eve again, I have waited all year long for this day to come (as you can tell, this is my favorite holiday!) and now it’s finally here – my aunt, my mum and I just prepared our annual festive dinner, later we’re all going to church and then the whole family is coming over.
