Top 10 Tuesday: Favorite Couples in books

I haven’t been very active the past few days since I was in Paris with my aunt and have been dealing with quite a few things… But for this tag, I decided it was time to get to my Mac again and start writing my blog! Everyone who reads my blog knows that I’m not a big romance fan, but this is a cute topic, so why not do it!

#1 Emma and Julian

The Dark Artifices was the first series I read by Cassandra Clare and so this series and the character were always something special to me. I feel Clare has really improved as a writer since City of Bones and therefore her new characters are magical and Emma and Julian are the perfect example. They are made for each other and I’ve always been their biggest fan. I know there are people not too fond of them and while I acknowledge their point of view, I can’t share their opinion!

#2 Kaz and Inej

These two were very, very close to land on my Top 1, but then, I’ve known Emma and Julian way longer, so no. I love everything about Kaz and Inej’s story and while their romance was really in the background of Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows, it was still incredible. Leigh Bardugo simply creates breath-taking characters.

#3 Mare and Cal

Red Queen is the series I love the most. For some reason, the revolutionary characters combined with the rebellion, empire and politics has made their way into my heart and so have Mare and Cal. Their love caused many many trouble and they have been through so much, having to decide between their personal feelings and what is right for their people.

#4 Cinder and Kai

Who wouldn’t want to have a prince as a boyfriend? Like come on, he’s hilarious. I love them both, they’re both immensely funny and care for their nation with all their hearts. Who could not love the cyborg and the prince of the Eastern Commonwealth? Review here.

#5 Jacin and Winter

Another couple of Marissa Meyer lands on my favorites list! I just love Jacin, he’s so sweet to Winter and who could not love her? Review here.

#6 Nina and Matthias

Am I the only one crying while typing this? The Grisha from Ravka and the soldier from Fjierda will always have my heart. I can’t wait to read about Nina in Leigh Bardugo’s King of Scars. Review here.

#7 Lila and Devon

Not many people know Jennifer Estep’s Black Blade, but I have come to love her characters. Devon is as kind and loving as one can be, and where he is nice, Lila is strong and stubborn. They’re the perfect mix!

#8 Clary and Jace

Who would I be to not include these two? If you want to laugh out loud millions of times, read about these two. They’re everything.

#9 Gansey and Blue

Even though I didn’t finish Maggie Stiefvater’s The Raven Cycle, these two still made it on my list, simply because I love Gansey. His personality is pure gold and anyone who claims differently has lost their mind.

#10 Hermione and Ron

How come they’re on the very bottom of my list??? I just thought of them now, so it’s pure coincidence. They’re funny relationship has marked the whole seven books, making them way funnier and playing a great big factor to why I love Harry Potter!
