I’m sure everyone’s TBR piles are blowing up right now because of the many books coming out soon! My list will consist of some books that are matter of fact only days old, but will they continue with my latest update which would be in the end of December! About this meme: Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish, but is now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl!
#1 London in the dark by Victoria Lynn

London has forever been my favorite place to be and when I discovered this book not too long ago by accident, I knew it was made for me. A book about my favorite city with scones and high tea and short bread and Harry Potter and British accent? London in the Dark is about a Private Detective trying to solve the mysteries of the most dramatic thefts London has ever witnessed. I kind of get a Sherlock Holmes vibe.
#2 The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

I added this to my TBR pile while I was working on my recent blog post Cover Design Contest and it really caught my attention. I have been looking for a intriguing, dark and magical book for a long time, I wanted a Six of Crows vibe, and I think with a lot of mystery this book is hopefully able to fulfill my expectations.
#3 The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Again, I came across this very interesting novel while writing my post Cover Design Contest and while it’s not the usual topic or genre I read, I thought it would be interesting and fun to try this and maybe explore a new genre!
I have not read any books about women’s rights or trying to be an emancipated and powerful woman, but I think it’s really important to read and educate yourself about something that is the fundamental principle of our lives today and the fight that makes us equal.
#4 Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo

I have not started Leigh Bardugo’s Shadow and Bone series that long ago and so Ruin and Rising is also pretty new to my TBR pile. I fell in love with Leigh Bardugo when I read the Six of Crows Duology, but now she has become one of my HIGHEST, MOST RESPECTED of my favorite authors which is quite the honor, haha. And btw, the covers of this series are beautiful, aren’t they? I can’t stop fangirling.
#5 King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo

I can’t believe I was able to buy this on amazon just minutes ago! Also, please don’t hate me for using amazon, I try to get as much as possible from local stores!
I have waited every day for the release, impatiently staring at the cover and jealously reading other people’s ARC reviews, just to find out what I was missing! I can’t wait!
#6 The Wicked King by Holly Black

While I have to wait until Monday (Monday, people!!!) to read King of Scars, amazon promised me that The Wicked King would arrive tomorrow! Amazon, please don’t break your promise!
This book is hopefully an amazing sequel to The Cruel Prince and because I have read many, many (too many for my sake) ARC reviews, I have no doubt it will live up to my expectations!
#7 Broken Throne by Victoria Aveyard

On the day the cover was released, I was mind-blown. I was s sure the Lightning Girl’s story had ended and was so sad about it, that I couldn’t believe Victoria Aveyard would write another book about Norta!
Even though it’s a short stories book – and I’m not a short stories book fan – I will definitely read it because Red Queen has a huge place in my heart and I consider it to be the (almost) best story I have ever read!
#8 On the Come Up by Angie Thomas

After The Hate U Give, I’m not sure Angie Thomas can create another book THAT amazing? Like, that must truly be a masterpiece then! I can’t wait for this book to be released because it will be epic!
#9 Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan

This is another book that I have been extremely exited for to read because I have always wanted to read a very dark, bad and evil book. I don’t know how to describe that, but like a dark thriller has always been on my TBR dream list and I think I found the one.
#10 Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare

I know, technically many of these books can’t be read yet, but they’re on my mental list.
I am really psyched to read a completely new series by Cassandra Clare because I feel the other characters have had their time. Don’t get me wrong, I hope Magnus will have an appearance as an Immortal, but I’m open for new characters and stories and twists. And it’s in London?????
That’s my list of all the new additions to my TBR list! I hope you enjoyed this small post and have a great day!
I wouldn’t necessarily say that The Night Circus has a Six of Crows vibe, but it’s still completely magical and fantastic.
