It’s Tuesday again, which means I get to do my favorite tag – and this week’s topic is so up-to-date because I have been planning my TBR list for this year’s summer for weeks! So it’s great to have it safe somewhere – here we go!!!
#1 Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas – finish

I read and loved Throne of Glass, but now it’s time to continue with Crown of Midnight, which will be the first item on my bucket list. I’ll spend the whole month of August at my family’s cottage in Vienna and so I’ll need a lot of books to spice up my time (I’ll be doing fun city trips, camp fire and stuff as well – I won’t be lonely!) and so therefore a long series is the perfect fit for me!
#2 The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

I have been saving this book for quite some time so I can enjoy it this summer, lying in my hammock and reading for hours and hours. This will be the perfect fit! I hope to find some mystery or suspense in it, because I have really wanted to read something that really catches me off guard and throws me off my game – in other words, I wan’t to be super excited for each new page. And I hope this book can give me just that!
#3 Circe by Madeline Miller

A different book from what I usually read will be this one – Circe. But the cashier said it’s her favorite and I had to buy it – plus, it’s been hyped for months and everyone seems to love it. And it has greek mythology which reminds me of Percy Jackson and so that should be fun.
#4 Renegades by Marissa Meyer

I also hope to read Renegades this summer because I can’t wait to read some more written by Marissa Meyer after Cinder & Co. I love her writing style and she creates the sweetest and funniest characters and this plot sounds so great that I am super hyped and should probably cool down a bit because I’ll end up having too high expectations and that’s my one big mistake.
#5 A Darker Shade of Magic

I started reading A Darker Shade of Magic way back in April but stopped after approximately 50 pages because I got slightly bored – mistake. I really want to know how this plays out and I wanted to give it a huge chance from the start because it’s a trilogy and therefore the slow start is acceptable. A lot of people adore VE Schwab and so I’m really excited to continue with it!
#6 Royals by Rachel Hawkins

First of all: why did the title change? Second, I really want to read some contemporary novels this summer because they’re always nice to put in between those fantasy books which can sometimes – only at a certain point, after too many in a row – get exhausting and I need a reality check once in a while. I thought this book featuring the royals looked really cute and so it landed here!
#7 Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

I spottet this perfect mystery fantasy book a while back but then the store didn’t have it and so I ended up without it. But it sounds like the perfect fit for me and even though I am not the biggest supporter of ordering books online (environment!!!), I will do it this one time because this book just screams my name!
#8 The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle

I saw this amazing book over at Ruqs’s blog (definetely go check her out, she’s amazing and I love her blog!!!) and she made it sound great. Then I read the synopsis on Goodreads and it just sounds perfect! The perfect crime and mystery read for my late night camp fires where I will be totally creeped out because my back is totally unprotected and it’s super dark (except for obviously the fire) and the garden is way too big to supervise and I will probably end up reading this inside under my blanket.
#9 Enchantée by Gita Trelease

And we’re back to fantasy. Everyone seems to love this book and they all go mad about it so I figured: why not join the group? I probably won’t get to this book during the summer because it will be forgotten, but it’s a great last minute escape!
#10 A book by Agatha Christie

I have been trying to diversify my reading experience and so I thought about reading some classics. But I always have problems with classics, so why not a mystery classic – so let’s start with the queen herself. I haven’t researched anything yet (you must know, I always come prepared and fully equipped with information haha), but I will definetely find a good story to start with and can only hope I’ll enjoy it!
That are all the books I plan on reading this summer, do we have any in common and what are some on your list? Enjoy your day!
I can’t wait for you to read the whole ToG series 😍😍😍

Oh, please tell me what you think so far! And me too, because I feel the series is awesome, it just struck me as so slow paced at the start… but I will definitely start again and hope that I’ll love it!
