It feels so good to get back into the game and restart all the weekly book tags and WWW Wednesday has always been one of my faves. I am currently in Vienna visiting my family, sitting on the terrace and looking at the garden and I am planning to stay right here and read a LOT OF BOOKS. I hope that works – but for now, let’s look at my current reading situation!
#1 What are you currently reading?

There’s one thing I am absolutely sure to be absolutely terrible at: sticking to a book when I buy a new interesting one. And so for now, I put a break on Realm Breaker and started reading Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I saw this cute new edition celebrating this classics’ 42nd birthday and just had to buy it! I’ve never read (or considered reading) the book, I only watched the hilarious movie with Martin Freeman, but my dad pointed out that the author’s humor is on point and quite absurd and that it was a spectacular book – and so far, I can only agree! It’s spot on hilarious, weird humor and the story nothing but a really really inventive idea. I can’t wait to continue!
#2 What was the last book you read?

I read Conversation with Friends and absolutely loved it – but haven’t finished it yet because I AM SCARED OF THE END. Do you know the feeling of absolutely wishing for one specific end, but dreading knowing it won’t be? Well, that’s it for me right now… I was super enchanted by the story, loved every aspect of it and really want to finish it, but am scared of being disappointed. Basically: I am waiting for someone to tell me how it ends in order for me to decide my next step. Horrible, believe me, I know.
#3 What book do you think you’ll read next?

Easy pic: Realm Breaker! I did rant a bit about the prologue, but I do have faith in Victoria Aveyard after the masterpiece series Red Queen, so I will definetely continue reading it!
When I have nothing on my plate, no worries and simply a fun summer ahead, I love getting into a great fantasy novel and be enchanted by a different world – and pirates, war and a great protagonist can and will hopefully just offer that!
That’s it: what are you currently reading or planning to read over the summer? Feel free to comment!
I love Hitchhiker! Have a great week of reading. My WWW post is here: https://wordywitterings.com/2021/08/11/www-wednesday-wednesday-11th-august-2021/
