October flew by: another Friday, another Let’s Talk Bookish and then I opened my calendar and realized “It’s October 16th”. It’ll all going by too fast, or not fast enough because I am already feeling the Christmas Spirit and have made myself various Chai Lattes with cinnamon and hazelnut milk! But back to the books: here’s all about my TBR! And not to forget: the discussion is as always hosted by Dani @Literary Lion and Rukky @Eternity Books!

Where do I save my TBR: Goodreads!
Very simple, probably the format almost everybody chooses. I mean, it’s perfect to keep score of everything evolving books on one website/app. We have our favorites, our star ratings, the number of books and the pages we’ve read. And we can easily add or remove books. Simple, yet perfect.
Do I take my TBR seriously: probably not.
I do check out my TBR once in a while, but mostly to get inspiration and not strictly follow the book that would actually come next. I have probably added more books of my TBR list than actually successfully crossed out. Because every time I read something about a book and think “Oh, I could give this a shot”, it lands on there. And I read a lot of “TOP 10” lists and most books are bound to land on my TBR then.
Reasons why I still love keeping track of my TBR
Well, pretty simple: I can’t remember all the books I wish to read. And so every time I think of one, there we go: my TBR just got bigger. And that goes on and on, too many books but at least they’re all stored at one place. And, weirdly, my “organized” self just LOVES to cross out the books that I eventually managed to read. And: if relatives ask which book they could gift me for Christmas/Birthday, I simply check my TBR list and have endless options 🙂
That’s it: how do you manage your TBR list, feel free to comment! And ahhh, have a great fall/winter season because I’m already wearing my BIG ASS bomber jacket because I tend to shiver when everyone around me is still wearing shorts! Happy reading!
My TBR is like a someday list lol

Great discussion! I love going through my want to read shelf on GoodReads and be remembered about all the amazing sounding books I would like to pick up someday!

My TBR is just like yours! I don’t follow it too closely but it does give me inspiration if I need it, and helps me remember what books I planned to read for certain reading challenges. But I also love having small TBRs that make it easier for me to cross off books and reach a goal for each month. I just love that accomplished feeling lol

True!!! I sometimes have small TBRs for holidays or the summer break because I always need to plan ahead which books to bring!!!

Ooof, I would say I have a TBR pile, but it’s more like a TBR ROOM. Bedroom to be precise. It’s wall to wall books! To manage it, I have an ‘imminent’ pile beside my bed. Those get priority. But there’s also the Living Room Table Pile, usually those are history and nonfiction, aaaand the Bottom of the Stairs Pile. Those are sci-fi!

Same here. Whenever I find myself in a library, overwhelmed by all those titles, I check my TBR and choose from there. I simply love Goodreads!
