Oh my God, I can’t believe it’s May already! Time has been moving soooo fast lately, it feels like it was January a few weeks ago… Anyways, I’ve been having a great time reading, so here’s my current reading situation!
#1 What are you currently reading?

I’m finally rereading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! This is not one of the Harry Potter book I’ve read the most, so it’s refreshing and I’m really excited and loving it all over again! I didn’t think I’d be that emotional the second time around, but I’m laughing and crying just as hard as a couple of years ago. It was a spontaneous idea to reread this book, but I’m really happy I put A Darker Shade of Magic on hold for a while to read one of my all time favorites again!!! Makes you feel like a child again!

I’m also currently in the middle of Kevin Brooks’s iBoy which I have to read for school. However, my teacher specifically instructed us only to read 200 pages so we could work out the ending together, so I’m on a mandatory pause even though it’s killing me not to continue. I was really surprised by how much I actually love the book and all my friends had the same experience, so really go check it out!
#2 What did you recently finish?

I finished ML Rio’s masterpiece If We Were Villains last week and fell incredibly in love with it. I not only fell in love with the intriguing story and the mysterious characters but I also discovered that I’d love to learn more about Shakespeare! My mom just planned a trip to Vienna with my aunt where a friend of ours has a debut at the opera starring in Othello and I’m really hoping I get to join and see my first ever Shakespeare play!

I also had to read a German classic for school which is Schiller’s Love and Intrigue. Surprisingly, this book was actually really great and I have to admit that I was a little too close minded before. I really wasn’t in the mood and cursed my teacher for giving us this book as homework over spring break, which I deeply regret.
#3 What do you think you’ll read next?

There are some really stressful weeks lying ahead of me in terms of school, so I think I’ll just keep a low profile for some time and just enjoy being a kid again by rereading some Harry Potter books! I’m in the middle of deciding whether the chosen book shall be Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire or and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but it will definitely be one of these two!
That is my small update on my current reading situation, I hope you enjoyed this post and have a great first of May!
I reread Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for the second time recently and appreciated it so much more on a second go. Rereading it as an adult, I got so much more out of it than I did when I was 11 or so.
