20 Questions Book Tag

I absolutely love Book Tags, it’s quite an obsession I guess, so I found this cute book tag where I’ll be answering these following twenty questions all about books.

1. How many books is too many books in a book serie?

I read the Harry Potter series which in total (with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) consists of eight books, but I’d say that’s obviously the exception. For example, I read the Shadowhunter series by Cassandra Clare and I must say I got bored during book five – so I’d say six books is the maximum.

2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?

I’d say it depends, in a series, I think cliffhangers are a MUST because I usually would KILL to read the sequel, but in cases of single books I’m not that open to open ends (lol).

3. Hardcopy or paperback?

Hard to choose, but I’d say paperback due to the fact that one can see that I have read/loved/ carried the book everywhere – the lines at the back of the books, am I the only one who tries to point them out on purpose?

4. Favorite book?

These questions are killing me – I have so many favorite books. But at the moment, I’m crazy about Six of Crows.

5. Least favorite book?

Surprisingly, not one book comes to my mind that I really hated, although I thought I had many dislikes, at least the books I had to read in school – but I guess The Truman Show doesn’t count, does it? However, I choose Three Dark Crowns although I didn’t finish it because it was so boring.

6. Love triangles, yes or no?

no. No. Noooooooooo. Absolutely hate them! Even more when the author chooses the boy/girl I didn’t like. Or the tragic ending of Clockwork Princess.

7. The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?

Three Dark Crowns. No comment.

8. A book you’re currently reading?

I’m currently reading and loving Marissa Meyer’s Cinder and would be finished already if it wasn’t for school!

9. Last book you recommended to someone?

I last recommended An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir to one of my best friends and I’d recommend it to everyone.

10. Oldest book you’ve read?

The first REAL books I read where Famous Five by Enid Blyton and The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall at the age of six. They have accompanied me ever since :).

11. Newest book you’ve read?

The newest book I finished was An Ember in the Ashes: loved it!

12. Favorite author?

I have many, many favorite authors but I’d say Jeanne Birdsall, J.K. Rowling, John Green and Victoria Aveyard.

13. Buying books or borrowing books?

Buying. I simply can’t love books that other people have already read. I think it has something to do with intimacy, but I could never bare the thought of reading a book, attaching memories to it and then having to give it away, so I always try to come up with the money to buy my own books – although my parents buy most of them.

14. A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?

Divergent by Veronica Roth. Definetely. I don’t know why I didn’t like this book as the movie was actually pretty good and I’d love to have another great series to read but it just didn’t click.

15. Bookmarks or dog-ears?

Dog-ears. I never use bookmarks. Probably because nobody ever offers me one and I simply never find any I really love so I’m having the bad habit of dog-ears.

Although, I’m currently using bookmarks, but I’m not sure I’m keeping that habit!

16. A book you can always reread?

I can always rely on Jennifer Estep’s work when I want to reread books. I absolutely fell in love with Black Blade and Mythos Academy likewise, so I’d say these books fit perfect!

17. Can you read while hearing music?

Sometimes. Currently I’m actually writing while listening to music, so I guess it depends on the difficulty of the text.

18. One POV or multiple POV’s? (POV’s = Point of views)

Only one. Please. I always struggle with books where multiple characters tell the story as I mostly find only one interesting. Exceptions: Six of Crows and War Strom.

19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

Again, this depends. If I really love the book I can just read all day long and never stand up to do something, but if I like the book but don’t love it, it usually takes some time to read as I then watch Netflix, do my homework or study.

20. Who do you tag?

I tag A Fictional Bookworm because I’m a huuuge fan of her blog, so please check her out!

Author: Blogger Books

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.
