Shelf Candy Sunday

While I’m actually in the middle of cuddling in my bed with Marissa Meyer’s Cinder and a cup of tea, I decided to write another Weekday Memes entry: Today, Shelf Candy Sunday.

I haven’t read this book yet, but I bought it during my stay in Berlin last week and thought the beautiful cover is worth mentioning.

What strikes me to be sad, at least in my opinion, is that I read so many great books that I love – but the covers are very often VERY hideous. How can the illustrators think those covers are pretty?! Here are a few examples of covers I don’t like:

Just to be clear, it’s just my opinion and therefore not hate-worthy lol:

I simply don’t think those animated characters on the covers are pretty, no matter how they look. Laia would be my favorite tho, she’s not too bad!

Anyways, after writing so much off-topic, I chose this book because it’s one of the few pretty books I’ve bought recently!

I hope you enjoyed this little entry and have a great Sunday!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.

  1. Ohh I hope you enjoy Cinder – The Lunar Chronicles are one of my FAVOURITE series of all-time! And I also hope you enjoy Children of Blood and Bone… I’ve been forcing my way through since August and it hasn’t really been sticking with me like the majority of people, I think I might even DNF it soon, sadly.

    1. Oh, I am definitely falling in love with Cinder! It’s an absolute must read!!!! And I’m also excited for Children of Blood and Bone because it has been hyped so much… but lately, I feel many books have been hyped that didn’t live up to my expectations; so I’m really excited!!!
