I’m back from my hiatus and let me just say this: we’re the best community ever! I wrote a post announcing that I’m back and why I haven’t been posting lately, and I got soooo many lovely replies! So my love goes out to all of you!!! Now onto the bookish part: here are my most recent additions to my bookshelf!
#1 The Missing of Clairedelune by Christelle Dabos

I am currently in the middle of the sequel to A Winter’s Promise and it’s also the most recent book I bought. To be honest, I have been super stressed lately and on top of that, this book is turning out to be even slower than the last, so it won’t be a five star read. I will continue, however, and see how the end’ll turn out.
#2 The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi

I was super happy to find this book under my tree and can’t wait to read it. To be honest, I haven’t bought any new books since Christmas, so there will be some similarities haha!
#3 A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

I also got this one for Christmas and I’ve heard wonderful things about it and can’t wait to read another retelling…
#4 Five on Brexit Island by Enid Blyton

My mum got me this book as a joke: it’s a new satire series of the Famous Five as adults dealing with all sorts of problems, here, the BREXIT. It’s only 150 pages long and I hope to start it very soon!
#5 1984 by George Orwell

I got 1984 a little while before Christmas, but I thought I’d include it anyways. I have to read this book for my English class and I’ve already started: the first chapter is insane. I have never read a book that starts so emotionally aggressive than this one. It really sweeps you off your feet because of the dystopian situation where your every move is being watched. I hope it continues just as brilliantly and can’t wait to finish.
That’s it for now, I won’t list any more books simply because it was so long ago that I got them! It’s good to be back, I love you all! Happy reading!
Ah man. Christelle Dabos is one writer I really need to get to. And what a coincidence, I recently bought Gilded Wolves and the Curse of Dark and Lonely too. Great minds thing alike?! 😉
Great post you got there and have a great reading week!
Do check my TTT if interested!

1984 huh??? That’s cool… I listened to the audiobook for the first time after the 2016 election and it really was a scary and depressing experience…. Hope you enjoy reading it 😊😊😊
