I can’t believe the first week of August is already over – I’m still at my family’s house in Vienna, so I’ve had some time to catch up with my TBR list. Here’s my current reading situation!

#1 What are you currently reading?

I’ve finally had the chance to start reading Circe, which has been on my TBR list forever now. I’m only a little over 100 pages in, but I am really enjoying this book! The storyline is a little unclear, I have not yet met Odysseus – but I am very eager to continue!

Overall, the book is very beautifully written, the atmosphere is simply spellbinding and I can’t wait for it to continue!

#2 What was the last book you read?

The last book I read – and devoured – was Letters to a Law Student, which is a guide to studying law at university. With helpful explanations, necessary skills and a great overview, it really helped me to sharpen my mind and focus on what I need to achieve and how I can improve myself in the best way possible in order to be a successful law student in the future. I would therefore recommend it to everyone thinking about taking a law degree – whether you’re sure about that or might be struggling – as well as a law student who might need some help to improve his essay writing/problem situation/ dissertation etc. skills!

#3 What do you think you’ll read next?

Tragically, I have stopped reading The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie.

Sometimes, when I struggle with a book several times, it just looses its appeal – at least for me. However, as it did just start to get interesting and Hercule Poirot was finally beginning to investigate, I might pick it up and try to finish it soon – we’ll see about that!
