All I’ve done today is study maths and politics & economics, so this is a refreshing thing to do! Here’s a small update on my current reading situation!
#1 What are you currently reading?
A Darker Shade of Magic by VE Schwab! I haven’t continued yet, so my first impressions post is my current opinion! It started a bit slow and the plot hasn’t yet started, but it’s a trilogy and so I’m patient and excited to continue!!!
I’m currently also reading Kevin Brooks’s iBoy for school. I’m happy we’re reading a YA book and not a classic because I have enough on my plate for once and maybe this way, I can even enjoy a book I have to read for school for the first time! I read Black Rabbit Summer by Kevin Brooks as well and I really liked that one! I’m not so sure if I really love this book, but I’ve only read 30 pages and so I guess we’ll see!
#2 What did you recently finish?
I finished If We Were Villains my ML Rio last weekend and I loved it! It’s one of the best books I have read this year and it’s definetely one of my favorite books ever! The mystery and Shakespeare themes combined are awesome and this book is unique and incredibly great!
#3 What do you think you’ll read next?
I guess I’ll continue with the Shades of Magic trilogy! I hope I’ll enjoy the first book as I continue reading, but from what everyone else thinks, I guess I’ll enjoy it!
I also currently bought The Night Circus which I have wanted to read for such a long time, so this could also be one of the next books….
I also currently bought Circe, so I’ll have to decide whether it’s this book or Erin Morgenstern’s! I’ve only heard great things about both, so that’ll be a tough choice!

Ahhh omg I’ve wanted to read if we were villains for so long. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it, I can’t wait to get to it.
I’m excited to hear your thoughts on ADSOM when you do finish it!
And ooh, if I’m being selfish, I’d say read the night circus next cuz I’ve owned it for a while now and haven’t picked it up and want to hear some people’s opinions on it so I know if I should read it or get rid of it :)))

It’s good to know that you enjoyed If We Were Villains so much. I bought a copy when it first came out and have put off reading it ever since but I don’t really know why. I think it’s because I love the sound of it so much and it makes nervous that it might not live up to what I hope it will be. I just need to get on and read it I think! Hope you enjoy whichever book you read next! 🙂
