First Impressions: Throne of Glass

This book has been waiting, resting on my TBR shelf for more than two years now – and I’ve finally started. It seems as I am one of the only people in the world who have never read any of Sarah J. Maas’ many many books and therefore I’m happy that I’m almost 100 pages in! Here are my first impressions!

I’m currently at chapter 10 and I’m loving it. The story is everything I love about books. It’s fantasy, the characters are great and the plot is intriguing.

I love Celeana, she is smart, funny, charming and very very scandalous. I love that. She doesn’t curtsy to the prince, doesn’t address him with Your Highness and is just everything a good book needs a protagonist to be.

The plot, so far, has proven itself to be very interesting. I love the theme of a competition and training, I don’t know, I just really enjoy it when both books and movies cover that.

The two male protagonists are, as far as I can tell, both really cool and have grown on me with their personal charms, both funny and bold in their own ways. I can’t wait how their relationship will develop.

All in all, I’m ending here because I’m very excited to read some more before ending my day with Netflix. Sarah J Maas is an author loved and adored by many many readers and therefore I think it’s safe to say I’ll at least enjoy this book, maybe it’ll be on my favorites shelf as well, who knows?

I’ll write my review as soon as I finish this book, until then, happy reading everyone!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.

  1. Yayyy!! I can’t wait to hear your final thoughts on it. Her books have an addicting quality to it and I couldn’t stop reading. Seriously though. I decided to take a break after the second book and started on a historical fiction novel but my mind was still preoccupied on what’s gonna happen in book 3 LOL I am currently on Heir of Fire, and so far I am loving it. Hopefully the remainder of the series is as good as they say!! Have fun reading! 🙂
