The first day of school is officially over and yet I can’t bring myself to be happy. I’m sad the break is over so talking about the books I bought last week will hopefully catapult me into the holiday spirit.
The last week of summer break wasn’t particularly exciting for my bookshelf. I only bought two books of which I still have to read one, which will be the next book I’m reading – after all the school stuff is sorted out.
First of all, I bought The Cruel Prince by Holly Black, which I have already reviewed. I absolutely loved this book, though not as much as I enjoyed Holly Black’s coauthor’s books, the Shadowhunter Series by Cassandra Clare.
Last but not least, funny when there are only two books on a list, I bought the sequel to Stephanie Garber’s Caraval, Legendary. I’m really excited to read this as I enjoyed reading Caraval a lot, with all its intrigues, mysteries and turning points. The end threw me off just a little which was also the reason I read The Cruel Prince first, however, I loved the book in total so I’ll read the sequel for sure.
