WWW Wednesday

It’s Wednesday again and August is slowly coming to an end – and with that comes school again. Anyways, let’s not whine, but spread positivity instead and get starting with the weekly reading situation!

#1 What are you currently reading?

I’m currently a little over 100 pages (I know, I haven’t had much time to read lately…) in A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan, which I’ve had mixed feelings during the first chapters, but which I’ve come to enjoy by now!

I’ve also just picked up (and read the first 40 pages) of the very renowned non-fiction, history book called Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. In three chapters, it pins down what made the species Homo Sapiens so distinguishable and different from the other genus Homo and how it came that humans rule the world. So far, it’s been amazing – easily written, so meant for everyone (also the ones with literally zero historical and biological knowledge). The content is truly interesting and spellbinding and I will surely write an entire post on it!

#2 What was the last thing you read?

Tragically, I’ve barely had any time to read during my tiny vacation in the Alps – so my last read is still Circe. The more I look back on it, the more I realize that the writing as well as the ending was truly phenomenal. Despite it having no concrete story line, I did enjoy that book – however, would not read it again!

#3 What do you think you’ll read next?

Today, I finally got my hands on Enchantée, which I’m really excited about! Everyone has been reading and writing great reviews, so I’m really interested in what I have to say about it!

That’s it for today – I hope you enjoy this post despite me typing this on my phone sitting on the train… Happy reading!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.

    1. Yessss – it’s really amazing and I’m astonished at the fact that I have absolutely no problem reading a non fiction book! I thought it would take me so much effort to overcome the fact that it’s made up entirely of FACTS haha

      1. I feel like reading non-fiction shouldn’t feel like reading a textbook! there are so many great non-fiction books out there that I would argue are even more interesting than fiction ones!
