First Impressions: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

It’s continuing – my Harry Potter Reread Marathon is on a roll with this being the fourth book! Here are my first thoughts!

It’s been a very long time, probably five years, since I read this book the first time and I’ve never read it since! Meaning, I don’t remember much – obviously I remember the overall plot and all since the movies are basically the only ones I watch with my mom (on repeat…) – but there have been some unexpected details which I forgot.

I am really enjoying this book, I’m currently on page 157 and I must admit that this is a very easy and good to finish in no time book. I started yesterday and its been going great!

Overall, I can only say that you notice that the Golden Trio is only fourteen as the book differs slightly from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. In general, I tend to enjoy the books where the characters are older as the story gets more intense in each book (obviously, a ten year old can’t battle a dragon!), but also the characters mature and therefore the story gets funnier! For example, I loved it when all the brothers got mad and crazy about Ginny dating boys and also the Yule Ball is something I’m very looking forward to!

There’s nothing new to add, really, as all the books are the same, just putting an emphasis on the fact that it’s brilliant to discover new little details of both the plot and the Wizarding World!

I’ll get back to my book now and wish all of you a great day!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.
