Top Five Tuesday: Gryffindor Reads

This month’s edition of Top Five Tuesday’s is pretty much everything a Harry Potter fan has ever wanted and more. This week’s topic is Gryffindor Reads (my house :))and since Shannah @bionicbookworm formulated their character so well, I’ll use her explanation!

They are experience oriented, honest, practical, blunt, passionate, playful, funny, trusting, idealistic, stubborn and procrastinators. They live in the moment, don’t take themselves seriously, are wary of manipulators and liars, have a strong moral centre, and are unafraid to seize opportunities and make changes.

#1 Cinder

Let’s face it: Cinder is literally the ideal example of a Gryffindor girl! She’s not putting herself first, sacrifices her life more than once for the citizens of her country (moral centre!!!) and is very very aware of other people’s manipulation (bioelectricity is all I can say). Moreover, Cinder is the perfect match for funny and stubborn.

#2 Nikolai Lantslov

For some reason, Nikolai firmly SCREAMS Gryffindor. He is absolutely hilarious, lovable, honest and brave. He is the perfect king for Ravka and anyone who believes differently clearly has to read this series again!

I know I probably should have chosen King of Scars, but I loved him in this book and actually haven’t read King of Scars yet!!

#3 General Farley

If anyone is prepared to sacrifice her life for a cause, it’s Victoria Aveyard’s Farley. She is pure Gryffindor. She is passionate, stubborn and a procrastinator.

I know I could have also chosen Mare, but for some reason Farley was the one coming to my mind as soon as I heard Gryffindor. Mare is kind of a mixture between Gryffindor and Slytherin, because she can be savage!

#4 The Penderwicks

I know this isn’t a specific character but a whole family, but The Penderwicks are the perfect Gryffindor material. They are the most loyal family I have ever witnessed, they love each other unconditionally, have the strongest moral centre small children could possibly have, are passionate, playful and love life. The only one who could be more savage is Skye, but I love her even more for her cool comments and sentences!

#5 Hermione Granger

Yes, I know she ACTUALLY is a Gryffindor, but she is the living example of the perfect match! She is funny, passionate, honest, moral centre, idealistic and wants to change the world! What more do you want?
