Top Ten Tuesday: books that make me smile!

Another Tuesday, another list! And a great one: I’ll list all the books that make me smile and why! All categories, no particular order – pure happiness!

Harry Potter: because of the Wizarding World!

Der erste Besuch in Hogwarts - Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery ...

Wow. Every time I read any of the Harry Potter books, I get sucked into this alternate world where I could just spend days on end. JK Rowling really created a magical universe!

Silver: because of the great sibling relationships and patchwork family!

For everyone whose had a very traumatic experience with patchwork families, this will be a “how is this suppose to work?” scenario. I wish I had better memories, but Silver is so much better because I didn’t. Liv has an awesome relationship to her 17 year old step brother and is basically part of his clique (as well as fighting a demon together!) and their whole patchwork family is too cute!

The Dark Artifices: because Emma and Julian are to die for!

The Dark Artifices by Cassandra Clare - sequel to The Mortal ...

Besides The Dark Artifices being my fist Shadowhunters series and therefore having a special place in my heart, Julian and Emma as protagonists are TO DIE FOR! I love every aspect of their complicated story: from the parabatai struggle, their parental role for Julian’s siblings and discovering who killed Emma’s parents and everything they discover afterwards!

Famous Five: down memory lane we go…

The Famous Five (1978-1979)

I could talk for hours and hours about the Famous Five, how many times me and my dad read the books together and how many hours we spent together doing that! I still sometimes watch single episodes of the series because they were my childhood and more than sometimes listen to the title song 🙂

Six of Crows: because there has never been a plot more epic than this one!

6 OF CROWS (Six of Crows, Band 1): Amazon.de: Bardugo, Leigh ...

Six of Crows is known for many things (especially everyone loving the plot, and I am talking about Kaz Brekker and Inej!), but one thing everyone seems to especially love is the plot and that is understandable: it never stops, it’s full of twists and turns and you never stop running, never stop scheming.

That’s it for now – it’s getting late and me and my dad are about to watch a movie! Tell me: do we have any books in common, and which books make you smile?! Happy reading!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.

  1. Six of Crows & Harry Potter are definitely in my top as well!! Such magical worlds that you just can’t help but get sucked into, I can’t ever imagine a time when I won’t return to them 🥰

    1. Thanks so much! And yes! And haha, me starting with The Dark Artifices wasn’t on purpose, I didn’t even know Cassie Clare at that time, I just saw a book that looked intriguing and then bought it without ever reading about Shadowhunters haha! happy reading to you!
