Let’s Talk Bookish: food that reminds you of certain books!

It’s time for yet another Let’s Talk Bookish post and today, the topic combines two of my favorite hobbies: booking and cooking/baking! So let’s see which books remind of which food, my favorite snacks while eating and which things I’d love to try out! Food that reminds me of certain books!

Pizza Hawaii and The Penderwicks: we can’t forget the classic scene where Batty tries to sneak on her father’s date to find out more about the mysterious Marianne Dashwood – and they end up spending their time eating Antonio’s pizza in the car. And Batty, of course, orders Pizza Hawaii.

Belgian Waffles and Six of Crows: everyone who read this book will know Nina and her iconic waffles, and the numerous times I have craved waffles while reading this book. is. intense.

Vanille Kipferl and Silver: whenever the two Silver sisters feel sad, her German nanny bakes them the traditional Christmas cookies! As I’m from Germany: I absolutely adore these sweets – have you tried/heard of them before?

Food in books I’d love to try out!

The start of term feasts in Harry Potter: well, once can imagine why. I just read that there is a Harry Potter themed brunch in New York and that is the next thing I’m going to when traveling.

The blackberry pie in My Lady Jane: we all know Edward is obsessed with everything that’s got to do with blackberries – including the pie he devours for breakfast every day. And I am a huge cake/pie fan and especially a fruity one, so I’d love to try that out!

My favorite snacks while reading!

Tea time: obviously not as grand as the Fortum and Mason tea time – but tea and a few biscuits/ cookies is never wrong!

Hot chocolate: not as often as tea, but when it’s super cold during winter, I love to have a steamy hot chocolate (preferably in bed or on the sofa next to the fireplace) to warm me up!
