Top Ten Tuesday: most read authors!

Wow, all my school stress is over! And now I’m back and better than ever, starting with a book tag! Today I’ll list my most read authors, which mainly correlate with my favorite authors as I usually reread all my favorite books!

#1 Enid Blyton

Kinderbuchautorin Enid Blyton begeistert immer noch

22 original Famous Five books, one whole every Sunday and then several chapters every evening – I guess I read more than 100 books written by her. She was my complete childhood and I could read them over and over again.

#2 Erin Hunter

Books - warriorcats

When I was younger, I read at least 20 of these books and then the first, my favorite season, twice! I stopped reading Warriors somewhere during the second or third season because either all characters that appeared during the first season had already died or where elderly cats not doing much.

#3 JK Rowling

Machines and Magic: Teaching Computers to Write Harry Potter

Despite Harry Potter only having seven books in the series, I read every book at least twice, and my favorites at least three times! Evidently, I can’t get enough of this series!

#4 Jeanne Birdsall

RAR #100: Jeanne Birdsall, The Penderwicks, and over 4 Million ...

The Penderwicks were one of my childhood favorites and I read the first three more than ten times each. Then, whenever I was sick or in the car for multiple hours, I listened to the audiobooks – and I was sick a lot. So these are quite some numbers, we’re talking about!

#5 Rick Riordan

Buy online Percy Jackson: Complete Series Box Set at low price ...

I read the Percy Jackson series twice and then Heros of Olympus twice because I loved the new stories and Gods!

#6 Cassandra Clare

Cassandra Clare shares “All the book news!” (snippet, art and more ...

I read all of her original series (not the extra stories), then reread The Dark Artifices and now Chain of Gold – I am a sucker for the Shadowhunters world and I will never (probably also not when I’m 30) stop buying her new books because she NEVER disappoints!

#7 Kerstin Gier

The Ruby Red Trilogy by Kerstin Gier

I read her most famous trilogy, the Ruby Red Trilogy when I was about thirteen years old and it was my very first YA series: I was overwhelmed by the new intensity of the problems (life-threatening situations etc) and by the mature characters (17 years old, now that I am actually 17 and not mature, that’s probably not depicted very realistically!). So, naturally, I reread this trilogy a couple of times and then discovered Silver: a trilogy that I have reread every year since I first read it a couple of years back. It gets better and better every time I read it!

That’s it for now: I hope you enjoyed this post! Who are your most read authors – and do you still read them? Comment! Happy reading!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.

  1. Oh my gosh, the Warrior books! What a throwback, haha. I remember going on long car rides and reading those in the backseat with the overhead light on. Great list! Childhood books will never age (:
