Top Ten Tuesday: books I’ve added to my TBR and forgotten why!

And onto another tag: today I’ll list up all the random books on my TBR list that made sense at some point, but which are just unexplainable now. I usually add books very quickly, but I’m not much of a forgetter, so I hope I’ll be able to list some books (for the sake of this post, it would mean heavenly order for my TBR shelf). So let’s see!

#1 Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

34728667

I remember adding this back when everyone only talked about this different ya book release. I hadn’t even read the plot on the spine, yet for some reason bought this book?! I don’t know – it’s not one I will read any time soon and up to this day, I don’t really know what’s it about.

#2 Simon vs. the Homo sapiens agenda by Becky Albertalli

19547856

I have NO idea how this book landed where it did. Normally, these types of contemporary aren’t my thing – I usually go for fantasy or some kind of growing up/romance contemporary, if I ever read some. I don’t know why I thought I’d have to read this.

#3 Paris for one by Jojo Moyes

29430049

The only thing I remember about this one is that Jojo Moyes had just released a new book and I really wanted to read one of her stories, but there were so many and so I didn’t really know where to start and so just randomly picked this one. To all of her fans: can someone please comment which book I should start with?

#4 I’ll give you the sun by Jandy Nelson

20820994. sy475

I have literally no recognition. None. It’s probably contemporary, but is it a tragic, fun or romantic story – I wouldn’t be the one to know. I guess I had a phase where I really wanted to read a lot of contemporary, but never actually ended up pushing through and that’s why there are so many random contemporary books on my TBR.

#5 Wilder Girls by Rory Power

42505366

NO IDEA WHATSOEVER. I remember that this book was hyped, then – blank.

That’s it – all the other books on my TBR make some sort of sense! Tell me, should I leave any of these books on my TBR list, are they worth the read? Happy reading!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.

  1. Great list! I loved Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda and I’d really like to give Wilder Girls a go, too. Children of Blood and Bone was so hyped but I’ve seen enough reviews (after buying a copy) to know it probably won’t be for me, so I think I’m going to borrow the audiobook from my library and try it. 🙂

  3. Simon is a great read!! I also really liked Children of Blood and Bone but I’ve heard terrible things about the second book, which I pre-ordered but have not touched and it’s been months! lol

    My TTT!

  4. I have a huge spreadsheet with all my TBRs. How some books got on there is interesting, to say the least. It looks like I need to add a column titled, “Why I added this Book.”
