Let’s Talk Bookish: what are your thoughts regarding reading challenges?

It’s Friday people. And normally that would make me really happy but now all it means is that my break is slowly coming to an end and that school starts Monday morning (like every other week haha). However, I still had a wonderful day today: studied some maths with a friend, then went to eat some Belgian waffles (which are my favorite ever) and now I’m about to head to the cinema with my mum to watch The Gentlemen (will review!). But now onto the bookish part: today I’ll be discussion reading challenges and Let’s Talk Bookish is as always hosted by Rukky @Eternitybooks!

In my opinion reading challenges are awesome. It’s a way of connecting with people, get together and talk and to all share the same experience. There have been so many cool challenges over the years such as the Harry Potter rereading challenge or something that goes over the whole year with certain categories and I think I’d enjoy it were I ever to join.

However, I’ll probably never participate because of the unrealistic time limit: I don’t have the time to read every single day of the week or read more than two books in two weeks which is what a reading challenge is all about. It might be super fun for many people and I love that they’re having fun, but they seem to have much time to read and that’s just not my current situation. What I would participate in are the challenges over the whole year because even though I might fail, it’s still fun to see the big picture at the end (sadly, I was too slow to join this year haha!)
