How BLOGGER BOOKS was created:

I’ve always had a passion for reading, but no one to share it with. My parents were (obviously) not interested in the same literature and at some point, all of my friends stopped reading – and so I had no one but myself to talk to about books and that obviously didn’t work. I had only a twitter profile for some weeks, but wanted to be able to write longer, more creative texts and so I set up this blog two years ago and haven’t stopped posting ever since!

So thank you for everyone who’s been involved with my blog, your the backbone of it, the reason I’m still able to do this! It’s been the best two years of my life (especially reading life) and I couldn’t be any happier!

My advice to new bloggers:

#1 don’t pressure yourself

I’m assuming almost everyone here is blogging because they love reading and thus wanted a platform to chat about books and share their opinion. Meaning, we’re doing this for fun. So there’s absolutely no reason to pressure yourself when you’re not able to write something because life got in the way, we all understand.

And also don’t feel pressured to read as much as others do: some bloggers read multiple books a week but due to my schedule, that’s simply not possible for me. So just because other people read and blog more doesn’t mean you have to pressure yourself to do more!

#2 Don’t get discouraged

It’s normal that your blog won’t have a lot of clicks, likes and comments right after starting. When I started, I was beyond happy to receive three likes, but sometimes I got discouraged believing it would never change – that people would never follow me or like what I write. But that’s not true: if you passionately write your blog, people will like what you write. If you love what you do, people will recognize that and begin to read your posts because they realize that you love to blog.

I’m nominating:

Kaya @afictionalbookworm – Sahi @myworldofbooks – Evelyn @evelynreads – Rendz @readingwithrendz – Alis @alisbooks – Emer @alittlehazelbookblog – Lori @lorisbookshelfreads

That’s it – I hope you enjoyed this tag as much as I did! Happy reading and enjoy your Sunday🎄

  1. Great advice and I agree! It was so disappointing but exciting at the start to have 4 or 5 views, and a few likes, but it won’t stay like that forever as long as you put your heart into it and socialize with other bloggers. I’m so glad you enjoyed doing this tag 💖
