WWW Wednesday

I am in the middle of an episode of Modern Family, but let’s get into this reading situation real quick because I’m freaking out!

#1 What are you currently reading?

See, I’m in the middle of a reading slump – and I know the reason: me and my friends applied for a maths camp my school provides for juniors as preparation. It’s been going on the past three days four hours and it’s just too much – it’s the last week of summer break and I’m spending it inside solving problems I already know the answers to (I shouldn’t have applied, it’s super boring and not challenging!). Actually, I am in the middle of Sapiens, and even though it’s an amazing book – it’s a book. And they’re not happening right now. Send help.

#2 What was the last thing you read?

I finished The Unhoneymooners on Saturday (I haven’t touched a book in four days!) – review to come soon! The book actually was really great – the story wasn’t too great, it was VERY predictable, but it was funny and exciting and just the best entertainment for a beach vacay!

#3 What do you think you’ll read next?

I ordered this one for a different vacation, but it didn’t deliver on time – so this might be the book to get me out of the reading slump? I don’t know if I can bear reading another YA contemporary so shortly after, but we’ll see – I definitely won’t pick up Sapiens because that won’t do it, I need some rest haha.

That’s it – send help! I’ll continue watching Modern Family and then have to go out and buy bananas because my bestie and I decided to get artsy and “cook” some nice cream – anyone’s heard of that? Happy reading!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.

  1. Hopefully your slump will be gone when you’re out of camp!
I’m about to pick up A hero born by Jin Yong, and I’m listening to the near witch by VE Schwab 🙂
    Enjoy your reading!

    1. Thanks so much! My uncle gave me A Hero Born last Christmas because he really loved it! I have to say, I couldn’t really get into the story, but mostly because I’m not really familiar with the historical events/ social environment where it’s set and so it was just a little difficult for me. But again, that was 1 1/2 years ago and I think I’ve grown since then, so if you’re gonna write an awesome review on it, maybe I’ll convince myself to try again!
And, ahhhhh, I have to finish A Darker Shade of Magic soon!
      Enjoy your reading as well!
