WWW Wednesday

It’s my first week of vacation at my family’s home in Vienna and therefore, I don’t have tons of time to read at the moment! However, I’m writing a current reading situation – so here we go!

#1 What are you currently reading?

I am still reading The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie, and it’s finally getting interesting. The first 50 pages were full of details, characters and no sign of Hercule Poirot but a little mention of a new neighbor called Mr. Porrot. That was pretty disappointing – I like the scheme of introducing the detective right away, of diving into the murder after the second page and not waiting 50 pages for a man being stabbed. I get that we have a little more detail here and that maybe the story is a little more complex and therefore, I am trying to keep an open mind until I’ve finished the book. But it’s getting better, Hercule Poirot is starting his investigations and so I am very excited to read about his deducting!

#2 What was the last book you read?

I have put my little Harry Potter Rereading Marathon on hold to start my Agatha Christie Marathon – so this book is reread, but not completely finished. I did, however, immensely enjoy it. Especially, I am loving Harry and the others grow up because that way, the story brilliantly unwinds and the small problems grow bigger – in a phrase: the daily life at Hogwarts becomes more and more interesting and enjoyable!

#3 What do you think you’ll read next?

I am very positive that I will continue reading Hercule Poirot novels and I have, on recommendation by a fellow blogger, chosen Peril at End House to be my next target! I have not yet really looked at the plot, but will rather walk in blindly and we’ll see how that develops and might have the power to change the story!

That’s it – I don’t know how much time I will have to finish big books over the next few days as I’m spending precious time with my uncles, dad and grandpa! Enjoy your day!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.
