I’m currently in London and therefore this is THE post for me. I love rainy days at home where you can just get comfy and laugh at everyone who has to battle the rain while your in your bed. Here’s my list of my favorite books to read on a rainy day!
#1 Harry Potter by JK Rowling
Harry Potter is the perfect rainy day vibe and I would probably chose And the Prisoner of Azkaban because it’s my favorite and you can easily read it in one day.
# Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
The atmosphere is just so dark and mysterious, just as it would be outside and so Six of Crows is a great match!
#3 Game of Thrones by George RR Martin
I don’t know why, but high fantasy books are the ideal fit for a rainy day! You can enjoy the worlds a little better and what’s cooler than the Seven Kingdoms?
#4 The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien
This is the same reason I chose this: the world!
#5 The Cruel Prince by Holly Black
I don’t know why, but this is giving me rainy day vibes. Maybe because you can then perfectly focus on the great world building and can enjoy the Faerie world more!
#6 A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro
Mysteries are perfect for a rainy day and this is one of my favorite mystery series!
#7 My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand
Middle age theme is something I would also love to read during a rainy day and this is my favorite in that genre!
#8 The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall
The Penderwicks on Gardam Street is set in autumn and it gives you a really autumn like vibe…
#9 Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
What I also love is enjoying a great series on a day where I can just focus on the book. It’s one of the best things you can do.
#10 Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
On the other hand, apart from all the fantasy and mystery, it’s sometimes also great just to read an easy contemporary book you can finish in one day and this one is perfect for that!
Yayyy! I also had Six of Crows on my List! AHHHH! It’s perfect with that dark and gritty atmosphere! Oh wow, how did I not include Harry Potter on my list? LOL I’m such a fail haha
I completely agree with you on mysteries though! They are a complete must read on Rainy Days. What better genre to capture the ambiance than a thrilling, mystery novel? I have still yet to read A Study in Charlotte. I am thinking of picking it up since we are receiving quite the torrential downpour here! Thank you for sharing! 🙂

I totally agree with Six of Crows! Rainy season is coming up where I live, and I’m planning on spending it curled up in my bed with a nice cup of tea and rereading the Six of Crows duology 👌👌

Exactly! London has great weather ahead so that’s not an option for me sadly but I have plenty of opportunities in GB 😂😂😂
