Top Ten Tuesday: Characters I’d like to switch places with

Here we go again! It’s Tuesday and that can only mean one thing!!! There have been so many times where I was all caught up fantasizing about the book, wishing I was a character and could live there. So this is perfect for me. About the meme: Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish, but is now moved to That Artsy Reader Girl!

#1 Hermione Granger – Harry Potter

I know it’s not fun to fight against The Dark Lord and that considered, she didn’t have an easy childhood. But apart from that, I would love to switch places with her. Imagine receiving an owl telling you that your a with and are allowed to study at Hogwarts! Besides, she is super super super smart and has the best punch lines!

#2 Jane Penderwick – The Penderwicks

Everyone who knows me well knows, that I am obsessed with Jeanne Birdsall’s Penderwicks. And knowing that, you can guess how hard it must be to choose between Skye and Jane. But I chose Jane because, well, because we both love books. Jane is someone I aspire to be: she is smart, talented, funny, understanding and has a loving family.

#3 Liv Silver – Silver

To actually be able to walk into other people’s dreams? And to live in her house in London with that cool step brother, that step sister and her dog? I would LOVE to!!!

#4 George Kirrin – Famous Five

There was no one I wanted to be more than George when I was little. She was everything to me. I loved her character, her moods, her dog, her hair – everything. I admired her and, who could blame me for that?

#5 Christina Rosales – The Dark Artifices

I was going to say Clary or Emma first, but I guess Christina doesn’t have the sad and tragic aspects to her story. She is kind, A SHADOWHUNTER, studies in LA, has a great best friend…. I’m just not sure how I would have reacted to the Queen of Air and Darkness‘s ending if I were her.

#6 Kaz Brekker – Six of Crows

I know life can be difficult and dangerous sometimes if I were Kaz, but I would damn well like to try. Six of Crows really impress me, that’s for sure and so there’s no question that somebody had to land on this list.

#7 Jude – The Folk of the Air

I know it’s not easy to grow up as a human in Faerie, but who hasn’t dreamed of visiting The Cruel Prince somehow? I mean, Faerie?!

#8 Gansey – The Raven Cycle

Gansey was always my favorite character in The Raven Cycle and that’s because of his great personality! He’s super down-to-earth even though he’s RICHARD GANSEY III. I mean, to have his life?!

#9 America – Selection

I always wondered what it would be like to live as America in Kiera Cass’ Selection. It would kind of be awesome, wouldn’t it? Living as a princess and later as a queen…

#10 Dumbledore – Harry Potter

After a while, this gets quite difficult to think of. All these characters have so many problems, people who want to kill them, fears which make you grateful for your life. But I guess it would be nice to be the smartest and most powerful wizard that has ever lived. Plus, I think I’d be a great headmaster.

That was my list! It proved itself to be really difficult for me, so please ignore that some of these characters have gone through a lot in their life!!! Have a great day!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.

      1. I don’t know how she was so prolific and made such iconic characters! Secret Seven and Famous Five were completely different, even though they were about groups of kids having adventures! not to mention Mallory Towers and all the other books I can’t think of yet. her imagination was incredible

I would love to be part of Gansey ‘group’, but I wouldn’t want to replace him though haha, same for Kaz Brekker!
