WWW Wednesday

To be a little more creative, I decided to post a different Weekday Meme this Wednesday!

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Sam on Taking on a World of Words. Anyone can participate by answering the three questions below and then posting a link to your post from your blog on Sam’s website, or just answer the questions on her post if you do not have a blog.

The three W questions:

1.) What are you currently reading?
2.) What did you recently finish reading?
3.) What do you think you’ll read next?

Without further do, let’s jump into it!

What are you currently reading?

This might be a bit boring because the whole world has already read this, but I’m rereading Harry Potter because I just felt like it. Doesn’t everybody feel like Harry Potter at some point? And because I know the movies so well and this isn’t one of the books I read over and over again – like Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – I decided it’s time to reread Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. That’s it.

What did you recently finish reading?

The last book I read before reading Harry Potter again was Holly Black’s The Cruel Prince (click for review) but that felt like ages ago. I read it the last week of summer break but school really started fast this year – it’s getting serious and we can all feel it- and therefore I didn’t have time to read more. Anyways, I really enjoyed this book because I liked her writing style and her characters and the description of the world really amazed me. However, it started off a bit slow, only talking about the hatred she feels for this prince and how she copes with being the only mortal in Faerie. Although the start was EXTREMELY slow, it really picked up at the end and served an epic finale.

What do you think you’ll read next?

That’s a difficult question. I think I’m heading towards a Harry Potter marathon, although I should actually be reading the sequel to Stephanie Garber’s Caraval(click for review), Legendary. I really loved Caraval, I wouldn’t count it to my favorites but in general, it’s a really good book which I recommend to everyone.

That’s everything, I hope you enjoyed this different Weekday Meme, have a great day!

I'm a huge fan of Draco Malfoy, I love scones and tea time, I don't like horror movies and obviously I'm a huge book nerd.

  1. HBP is my favorite movie, but not my favorite book. It was a bit slow on my last re-read, to be honest. Happy reading and thanks for participating in WWW Wednesday!

  2. The Cruel Prince is one of my favorite Black-novels. Can’t wait for The Wicked King to be released so I can dive back in. That ending had me all bananas since I couldn’t immediately dive into the sequel, hah.

I liked Caraval but I truly LOVED Legendary. I think it’s so much better than the first book! Hope you end up feeling the same. 🙂

  3. Def agree re: The Cruel Prince. It almost read like two different books? On the other hand, I kind of wonder if the second half of it would’ve been effective if the first part wasn’t so slow, not sure.

And yes, the HP Itch, I know it well. All the super pretty illustrated versions that have been coming out thick and fast the last couple of years make it hard to resist rereads, too.
